Andrew Sait has added to the Shepparton Crew's amazing 2019 results by taking out Race 8 over a distance of 6.50km held out at Woodvale Recreation Reserve.
Andrew is the fifth and final member of Sait and Heard families who make the weekly trek across from Shepp to run with the BAC. After some strong form and getting close, today was the day with Andrew grabbing the lead with just under 1km to go. In second place was Nick Edwards, who ran a brilliant race, but couldn't quite hang on, finishing only 5 seconds behind Andrew.
Third place went to Aaron Norton, who finished just ahead of Peter Le Busque and Dale Lowe, all who have been running very strong over the past few runs and will be looking to consolidate on their form.
Continuing her consistent season with another impressive performance was Race 3 winner Kerry Ellis who finished eighth, again leaving some lesser performers in her wake.
In the 3km event Justine Graham continued her run of good form leading the way home in 18:46, with Kylie Stevenson close behind in 18:56 and Sally Noden third in 23:55. Cherie Gaskin took a wrong turn and finished the run from the opposite direction to her competitors.
Just a reminder we have next Sunday off with school holidays. Race 9 will be a 5km run on Sunday 14 July out at Mandurang Cricket Ground, on what promises to be a hilly circuit.
